Now im looking for another insurance co.!!!!! A couple moved into a new neighborhood that’s great in all ways, except for maybe the overly-involved HOA. Geico's "Cynthia from the HOA" Not so much the commercial that I hate as much as a character.
Most of it thought it was really funny and have no problem discerning reality from comedy.
Yes, there are absolutely some complete “Cynthias” out there, and there are definitely “horror stories” worse than this, but if you don’t like whats happening in your HOA, then vote the people OFF your board. Whining about a TV commercial is a perfect demonstration of answering the question, “How stupid can you be?”. HOA’s are a scourge on society and do nothing but price a certain class of citizens that can not maintain property to a certain standards. Why couldn’t she have simply cut off two inches?
Destruction of property is what I see every time I see this commercial. Some board members take their jobs too seriously.

If you live in a neighborhood with an HOA then well…congratulations on probably having money.
It is not amusing, but in fact, triggers my anxiety I had to live with when I lived in that home. ( Log Out / If the responses here are any indication… the perceived slight to your organization and the ideals of a functioning homeowners community (which you claim GEICO portrayed incorrectly) then you should think again. The GEICO Insurance TV commercials featuring an over-the-top HOA rules enforcer named Cynthia who takes a chainsaw to a noncompliant mailbox are hilariously satirical because they ring a bit too true.
. I could see this going far past anything they ever did with Cavemen or Geckos.

It was a living nightmare. Maybe focus on improving HOAs in the communities rather going after a silly commercial.
I think the commercial is annoying and just tune it out. They can’t be serious. It is not funny. Let’s not let them have power over our lives. I appreciate my HOA board and find the commercial funny. However, in the meantime, the HOA, named Cynthia (played by Annie Sertich), whom we learned has been very involved, does a series of things that would drive anyone crazy.
