We are all about making the right decision when purchasing new headphones. Such receivers used in 'direct' mode are fine for two channel stereo too. I will commend Stereophile for a very liberal-minded forum with respect to accommodating 'open dialogue'. Kinda like an Audiophile tattoo proclaiming something Architectural and Social Level about it's Owner. I experienced her playing JSBach, she seemed to play effortlessly and seemed to make the playing sound like two Pianos, Phew!

Chord’s designers were realizing that the weight of all the connections were practically lifting the the 2Qute off the table surface. So all we can do is go for a measured flat frequency response of DAC, amp, and speakers and hope. Were I starting today, from my experience with the Mojo, the Qutest would be my 'go to' DAC regardless of price, even if unheard before purchase. I miss it still. On the rear panel are four digital inputs: two S/PDIF on BNC jacks (yellow and red button illumination, respectively), one S/PDIF optical on a TosLink jack (green), and a USB port (white). To my taste sound was to much sterile and without emotions. The second major difference between the two devices is that the Qutest will adjust the output voltage to suit different preamps.
