Wonderful flavor! This recipe is utterly fantastic! It’s not overly garlicky or fishy — it’s just right. Sure, I think this would be delicious tossed into a pasta salad! Loved this and more than that my husband ate a salad (and enjoyed it) and my daughter who hates anchovies couldn’t get enough! This is my go to dressing. I put the dijon mustard, garlic, W sauce, anchovies and all other liquids into the food processor and blended it. Wanted. I have made this a least 6 times and it has become my favorite recipe bar none. Yes the “real” dressing is great but this is easy and simple and you usually always have the ingredients on hand. A couple of minor substitutions – instead of 1 tsp of anchovy paste, I prefer a 2 oz can of the real thing. Next time will half the mayo!

Since I have been on an elimination diet, I have been making more recipes and needed a good caesar dressing. If you make such a great dressing of your own why bother with any other? Only change I made was I used whole anchovies as I could not find the paste. Lightened up on the mayo too, to have less thick dressing. If it is real mayonnaise it is an emulsion of raw eggs and oil! It was almost perfect as is, but rather than using Anchovy paste, I minced canned Anchovies and “To taste”, I added a 3rd garlic bulb, more than doubled the lemon and a bit extra black pepper. I could eat the whole bowl with a spoon, it’s that good. Glad you like it! Thank you!!!! Just trying to lighten things up a bit. Just as good if not better than in many restaurants. You can leave out the anchovy paste but the dressing won’t have that distinctly Caesar taste. When I go to the grocery store and decide to make something on the spur of the moment, I know exactly what I meed!

I also used Pecorino cheese to give it an extra sharp bite. I thought the same thing about anchovy paste but did buy some and used it in the recipe,happy I did it turned out well. Just the right balance of flavors. I don’t change or modify a single thing. Will make this often! Only negative is my husband and I can no longer order caesar salad when eating out as it never tastes as good as yours/mine!!

I made this using scratch mayo, and it was very thick. Yummy stuff . How many do think equals one teaspoon of paste? This is a delicious dressing. I am on weight watchers and this mayo has no point value. I’ve probably made this dressing 5 or 6 times and it’s my favorite dressing.
