After an altercation with Ricky, Ben is fired. Another idea some people aren't gung-ho about is the new Mother-Daughter Dance Dr. Bink has invented to replace the traditional Father-Daughter Dance. Everyone has been pressing Ricky to give Amy an answer, but he does not want to consider Amy and him getting married until they have both graduated from high school.

Ben and Adrian discuss the possibility of having sex again but talk of their exes soon intervenes. Adrian puts to rest rumors of her pregnancy by informing Ben she is menstruating; Amy is confused about Ben's mixed signals when he begins avoiding her. The episode ends with Ricky telling Amy that he loves her and she reciprocates the statement. Yeah, we're talking George and Anne.

Amy considers having sex with Ricky, but she demands for him to be tested for STDs before they do and Ricky decides to ask the girls that he has slept with if they have any STDs to find out what his chances are before he does.

Ricky has opportunity to cheat Amy with Karlee, Toby’s stepsister, but he refuses. After Ricky's biological mother Nora is back in town and she will be sticking around, Ricky attempts to have his custody agreement over John with Amy declare that she cannot live with him because she is an ex-con and his concern about letting her get involved into his life while Amy meets Nora for the first time.

Will she do that? Madison says maybe Amy's a bad kisser. This girl knows that Adrian’s pregnant.

Meanwhile, Jack asks Ricky and Grace's family to stay with them for his senior year, but they both deny his request.

Anne meets her boyfriend from school times.

Ben goes to New York to visit Amy and finally tell her the news. Adrian has decided she does not want to keep the baby, but her parents argue over whose choice that should be.

Grace and Kathleen meet Grant’s parents. Elsewhere, both Grace and Grant's and Griffin and Peter's relationships continue to evolve. They sat next to each other in the movie.

18 Tom is the Vice President of Human Resources at a company owned by Milton and his former girlfriend Tammy is working for him. Season Jack and Madison reconcile and Grant and Grace have a sleepover at Grace’s house. Ricky does not want to waste his favors on his mother that was never there for him.

Amy is pleased because she will spend night with Ricky. Ben asks to be a part of the pregnancy, like he was with Amy's, after he realizes that he should do the right thing and not fake an engagement.

She was trying to get some boy advice, but it's hard to say, because it's more like she's just talking at Emily about all her problems ... and her friends' problems ... and her friends' parents' problems ... .

After Ben gives the ring to Adrian, she returns it. At the end of the episode, Amy tells Ricky she wants Ricky now and forever.

Also, Ricky spends some time with his biological mother, who is 24 hours away from serving a jail sentence.

George and Anne reconsider getting remarried. Amy is concerned when Jimmy doesn't call her so she seeks Ricky's help. Jared Kusnitz, best known for his role in the movie Prom, will be joining the cast as a reoccurring character named Toby.

Ricky and Adrienne go to couples therapy and Adrienne shares a very personal story explaining why she wants commitment so badly. While they’re there, George talks to Ashley about her feelings for Ricky.Meanwhile, Leo tells Ricky that he would like to offer his mother a job at the butcher. Meanwhile Grant overhears Jack and Jesse discussing Jack's continued feelings for Grace.

Amy, still unaware that Adrian is pregnant, is off to New York for the summer, and she and Ben profess their love at the airport.

Anne questions whether George actually wants to get married, contrary to his original claims, and suggests that they finally split up without hurting their children. He and Madison talk and realize that they actually do love each other but aren't ready to have sex yet. Adrian realizes she doesn't have any friends, so she decides to invite every girl who has slept with Ricky. But later, Ricky decides to ask Ruben for help with his mom and Ruben agrees to see what he can do. And why would that be? Of course, they'd have to meet Ricky's parents first. Adrian tries to continue befriending Amy. While friends and family of Amy's realize they have forgotten her birthday the previous day, Betty gives Ben an old ring of hers in order for Ben to give it to Adrian.
